How to Sail Through Life
"They were filled with the Holy Spirit"
Change is hard for most of us. Sometimes we don’t even know what to change, nor do we know how to change. But if we want to sail through this life, we need God's help.
God gives us his Holy Spirit, who is God present with us in our own spirits. The Holy Spirit gives us wisdom, desire, and energy to do what God desires for us. The Holy Spirit turns our hearts towards God and others. God’s plan for us always leads to life. We must live life filled with God's Holy Spirit.
I’m not a sailor, and I don’t play one on TV. But I hear that if you want to move through the water, you’ve got to raise your sail. I've watched sailors, and they never stop moving. They are always doing something so that the boat catches the wind, that God created.
Movement is change, and if we want to move through life, we’ve got to do a few things to catch the movement of God.
Scripture reveals God's truth to us. It is trustworthy. That’s a great place to start.
God teaches us and gives us power to follow him and to experience new life forever. Let’s meet to spur one another in the great things for God.
Will you pray with me?
Heavenly Father, we cannot live without your presence, for you created us all. You breathed life into all humanity, and every one of us needs you to keep breathing that life in us. We commit ourselves to be faithful to your ways, through Jesus, our Savior. Amen.
