Why Can't You Trust Stairs?
They're either always up to something or they always let you down!
Whoever invented the Internet probably didn't know they were creating a "trust dilemma" for the whole world. I'll save you some trouble if you haven't already heard:
You cannot believe everything on the Internet.
So who can we trust?
Three behaviors that create trust are
Jesus avoided secrecy and clearly shared information with both believers and non-believers. While other teachers tried to trap Jesus with loaded, manipulative, and dodgy question, Jesus replied with clear, transparent answers that cut through their veil of lies. See Matthew 22:15 and following verses for example.
Best-selling author and leadership guru Steven M. R. Covey lists these behaviors as the top three to build trust. So even from a human perspective, Jesus is worth believing. We can rely on what he says and does so that we experience a joyful and meaningful life of friendship with God.
"The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life," Jesus said in John 10:10.
I'd love to talk with you more about how you can increase your trust of Jesus. Just reply to email me directly. Come and meet with us this weekend where you'll be encouraged by many people who are learning to trust Jesus day by day.
May today be filled with the peace of Christ in you.
