Weekly Newsletter Sept. 29

Ed went to the revival and heard about Jesus’ love and power. When the preacher invited anyone to come forward for prayer, Ed got in line. The preacher asked, “How can I pray for you?”   

Ed replied, "Preacher, I need you to pray for my hearing."

So the preacher put one finger in Ed's ear and the other hand on top of his head and shouted, and hollered, and proclaimed "Be opened in Jesus' name!"

After a few minutes, he removed his hands and said, "Ed, how's your hearing now?"

Big Ed said, "I don't know preacher, my hearing not until next Wednesday at the New Castle County Courthouse."

Here’s a truthful message:
“Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.” James 5:14-15

Jesus has come to heal and forgive. Every weekend at Christ the Cornerstone we gather to pray for one another at both Bear and Elsmere campuses. We announce forgiveness and healing in Jesus' name. So come this weekend, invite a friend, and let’s see God do wonderful things!
